Project Year: 2019
Location: Oslo, Norway
Description: Prefabricated wooden housing solution. The case was challenging because of the many factors in play. The design makes sure to obey the rules and regulations set by Norwegian Authorities and supplies a spacious, comfortable and safe environment for the occupants. The main aim of this project was to provide the prefabricated housing market with a more efficient solution, which ultimately would enable more people to afford being a house owner as a result of the lower costs introduced by this solution. This solution offers a house ready to be assembled in site without any extra installation. The whole process for the house to be ready to be inhabited would take 2 weeks, significantly cutting down on construction time as well as extra costs. This also makes possible for more flexible locations and climates as the short time of assembly would not be affected by changes in atmospheric conditions. The design is modern and stands out from other prefabricated houses, resembling every other home built by conventional methods.
