Description: “Fidani Guesthouse” is an important project which aims to boost the development of the comunity and creating a new standard for tourism in Voskopoja, Korca, Albania. Tourism in Albania continues to develop, and considering the amazing nature it has, and how both foreign and locals request to explore more of it every year, there has been a great need for new facilities. The government through ARDA (the Agricultural and Rural Development Agency) together with the local entrepreneurs are cooperating to offer the best service and hospitality facilities. This results in many positive outcomes in the economy and development of the area, creating not only tourism opportunities but also job opportunities and benefits for the entire community. The task was to design the interior spaces of the Guesthouse in compatibility with the rustic setting of the location and the harsh winters. The location is mountainous, and the building is cladded with natural stone from the local quarries. This is also reflected in the interior of the building. Special attention has been paid to furniture design, which are to be fabricated specifically for this project.
